Quinta da Junta in Santo António da Serra

Quinta da Junta, located in Santo António da Serra is a historic manor house dating back to the 19th century. It belonged to a British family and was later acquired by the local government and became a public park.

From the colonial style of the building to the picturesque garden planted with luxuriant endemic and exotic vegetation, the British influence is evident.

Quinta da Junta is a favourite among locals, who choose the garden as a place to enjoy their family weekends. The Quinta has a small zoo with some species of birds such as Peacocks and Guineafowl and larger animals such as Horses and Deer.

Don’t forget to take your golf gear and enjoy the minigolf circuit or if you prefer nature, take your binoculars and discover the small endemic birds that chirp amongst the vegetation. If minigolf isn’t for you, try out the golf course a little down the road at Campo de Golfe do Santo da Serra.
